PrepCat
Terms of Service
Last updated June 26, 2026
Welcome to PrepCat. These terms explain the rules for using the app and what you can expect from us. We have tried to keep them clear and plain.
01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and PrepCat. By creating an account or using PrepCat in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
If you are using PrepCat on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for them.
02What PrepCat is
PrepCat is a study planning and practice tool for the MCAT. It builds a study plan around your goals, tracks your readiness, helps you review your mistakes, and offers practice and guidance powered by AI.
PrepCat is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (the AAMC), which owns the MCAT exam. Any scores, projections, and readiness figures PrepCat shows are estimates meant to guide your studying. They are not predictions of your real exam result and are not medical, academic, or admissions advice.
03Your account
You need an account to use most of PrepCat. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it current so your plan stays useful.
You must be at least 13 years old to use PrepCat. Each account is for one person. Tell us right away if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
04Acceptable use
Use PrepCat for your own MCAT preparation. Do not misuse the service. In particular, do not try to break, overload, or reverse engineer it, do not scrape or copy its content at scale, do not resell or share access, and do not use it to build a competing product.
Do not use the AI features to generate harmful, unlawful, or abusive content, and do not attempt to extract the underlying prompts or models.
05AI features and study content
PrepCat uses AI to generate study plans, practice questions, explanations, and advisor replies. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Treat everything it produces as a study aid, not as a final authority. Always check important facts against official sources such as AAMC materials and your own course resources.
You are responsible for how you use the plans and explanations PrepCat gives you. We do not guarantee any particular score, score increase, or outcome.
06Your content
You keep ownership of the information you put into PrepCat, such as your diagnostic scores, the mistakes you log, and your notes. You grant PrepCat the permission it needs to store and process this information so the service can work for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
PrepCat and its software, design, and original content belong to PrepCat and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, and revocable right to use the service for your own studying.
07Plans and payment
Some features may be free and others may require payment. If we offer paid plans, the price, billing period, and what is included will be shown to you before you pay. Taxes may apply.
If you buy a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule shown. Unless the law or a specific offer says otherwise, payments are not refundable for time already elapsed.
08Disclaimers
PrepCat is provided on an as is and as available basis. We do our best to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for every purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties that are not expressly stated here.
09Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PrepCat and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or exam outcomes, that arise from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10Ending your use
You can stop using PrepCat at any time and can delete your account from the Settings page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or use the service in a way that could harm PrepCat or other users.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows or the law changes. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. By continuing to use PrepCat after a change takes effect, you agree to the updated terms.
